Evelyn Lontz (nee Doorn) Lansing, IL
Evelyn Lontz (nee Doorn), 82, of Lansing, IL passed away on Saturday May 8, 2004. She is survived by her husband Clifford, of 62 years; sons Don (Pat) of Lansing, Ken (Marcy) of Cedar Hill, TX, Ed (Elaine) of Ocala, FL; daughters, Jan (Tom) Boomsma of Pella, Iowa and Eva (Larry) Fennema of Grand Rapids, MI; sister, Eva Tanis (late Herbert); brother Herman Doorn (late Joan); favorite aunt of many nieces and nephews; loving grandmother of 12, great-grandmother of 11. Preceded in death by Edward Doorn, Mena Dekker and Etta Demik.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 11, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. from the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Road, Lansing, IL, with Rev. John Vermeer officiating. Interment, Oak Ridge Cemetery, Lansing, IL. Firiends may visit with the family on Monday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Evelyn's name to the William J. Riley Hospice Home, 511 Otis Bowen Drive, Munster, IN 46321. Evelyn volunteered for many years as a Sunday School Teacher for Grace Reformed Church.
