Mary (Butler) Cannon's parents were:
    George Butler &
    Anne (Plumb) Butler.

George Butler & Anne Plumb married on 10 April 1755 in Conneticut. The Butlers moved from Connecticut to Blandford, Mass sometime around 1777.

(Note: The graves of George's wife Anne as well as a second wife Desire (Dimick) are unknown at this time.)

                           -----

John Cannon/Carnahan Jr & Mary Butler married in August of 1781 in Blandford, Hampden County, Mass.

John Cannon Jr died in 1797. Unfortunately, his burial place in Blandford, Mass is unknown at this time; "...Perhaps [buried] in the little enclosure on the Brook Road."

That same quoted account went on to say that "...the widow Mary (Butler) Cannon lies in the old graveyard south of Aurora, Ohio by the side of Abner Pease and others of her old Blandford neighbors who had taken the western trail. She was the first in the Cannon family buried in Ohio. The widow Mary was a charter member of the first Congregational church, organized in 1809."

Mary's tombstone was indeed located in that cemetery, but in a different location from the quoted description.
