Jerome 'Jerry' Canter P.E., P.P., PTOE, 'Mr. Traffic' died peacefully on Friday April, 20, 2012.

He was the loving husband of Lois; father of Steven, Esq. (Ayza), Melanie (Brian); step- father to Troy and Tamar (Russell) and Zayde to Samuel and Francesca.

He was the brother of Larry Canter (Rick) and Cheryl Halsey (Mike); and uncle to Dani, Ali, Mikey, Kylie and Skyler. He was the son of the late Irving Canter and Shirley Stiles.

Come celebrate 65 wonderful years! Join us Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Berschler and Shenberg Funeral Home, 101 Medford-Mt. Holly Road, Medford.

Interment will be in Crescent Memorial Park.

Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Relay For Life Delran or TEAM. HIGH. HOPE. 1851 Old Cuthbert Road, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.

Jerome Canter (Jerry), P.E., P.P., PTOE, "Mr. Traffic" died peacefully on Friday, April, 20, 2012.

Loving husband of Lois, father of Steven, Esq. (Ayza), Melanie (Brian) step father to Troy and Tamar (Russell) and Zayde to Samuel and Francesca. Brother of Larry Canter (Rick) and Cheryl Halsey (Mike). Uncle to Dani, Ali, Mikey, Kylie and Skyler. Son of the late Irving Canter and Shirley Stiles.

Jerry and George Horner formed Horner & Canter Associates. The company is responsible for many of the traffic lights, shopping centers, office buildings and major intersections throughout South and Central NJ. Jerry was a Fellow of ASCE and ITE, as well as a member of ASHE and other transportation organizations. Jerry served the Town of Hammonton for 25 years as traffic consultant as well as other municipalities. His nickname was "MR TRAFFIC". He was the Master of Puns, as Troy named him The Punniest Man You Ever Met.
