In April of 1999, Saksy was diagnosed with Leukemia. Throughout his struggles, Saksy fought valiantly and courageously, never giving up hope. Sadly, on September 8, 2001, Saksy quietly passed away. Never accomplishing his dream of graduating from Washburn University with a double major in the spring of 2002.
Saksy was a vey strong and courageous person because he was still able to smile and joke through all his sufferings and hardships with his unending battle with cancer. Saksy will always be admired for the way he lived his life and the courage that he showed everyone. Saksy, we thank you for sharing your life with us and giving us wonderful memories. We thank you for the happy tears, silly smile, and joyful laughter you shared with all of us. Saksy for you there will be no more suffering, no more pain, and no more tears heaven. We love you and miss you always.
