A retired millwright and member of Local 720, he died Monday, March 22, 2004, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 82, a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Fernwood, Miss. He was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran.

Visiting was at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Visiting at the funeral home chapel from noon until religious service at 2 p.m. Thursday. Interment in Greenoaks Memoral Park.

Survived by his wife, Virginia Elizabeth Barlow; a daughter, Shawn Yvette Barlow; a son, Steven Lance Barlow; a granddaughter, Krystal Yvette Higley; a brother, Roy Milton Barlow; numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents and numerous brothers and sisters.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Barlow, James Barlow, Harold Powers, Johnny Debacco, Kenneth Basham and Henry Landry.

He was a member of Broadmoor United Methodist Church.
