Cold War Spy. Convicted and executed with her husband Julius for providing American Atomic secrets to the Soviet Union. On June 17th, 1953, Supreme Court Justice William Orville Douglas temporarily stayed the execution of Julius and Ethel Rosenberg, originally set for the next day, the couple's 14th wedding anniversary. (They were put to death June 19.)
