MICHAEL LOUIS TUCKER
TUCKER, MICHAEL LOUIS of Birmingham, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 10, 2012, after a courageous battle with Cancer.
Mike was born in Chattanooga, TN and grew up in Atlanta, GA. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. T. N. Tucker, Jr. of Birmingham.
Mike retired from the District Attorney's Office after 30 years of service.
Before practicing law, he served in the United States Marine Corp and worked as a golf professional at Dorado Beach Resort in PR.
He attended Alabama College (now Montevallo) and Cumberland School of Law. Mike belonged to numerous clubs and organizations. He loved playing golf, pool, and reading.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Hilda Tucker; their children, Peggy Lee, Connie Hampton (Don) and Michelle Caine (Alva); his grandchildren, Niki Burns (James), Pilar Lee, Garrison Lee, Ian Pencak, Andrew Hampton, Jacob Hampton, Alva Caine, Katherine "Paloma" Caine, and Isabella Hampton; his sister, Margaret "Missy" Redfern (Carlton) of Marietta, GA; and his brother, The Rev. Thomas "Tommy" Tucker (Joan) of Dunlap, TN.
A memorial service will take place at Shades Mountain Independent Church in Hoover at 11 AM, Tuesday, May 15, 2012.
He will be laid to rest at Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo.
