Freda Louise Winton Elliott, 42, twenty-one year employee of Tennessee Farm Bureau Federation and resident of Forrest Ridge Trail in the Culleoka Community, died Saturday, June 26, 2004 at Vanderbilt University Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the West Seventh Street Church of Christ with Burton Daimwood and Randy Kersey officiating. Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. at Beans Creek Church of Christ Cemetery in Coffee County. Memorials may be made to the Elliott Family Trust Fund at any branch of First Farmers & Merchants National Bank.

Born in Vicenza, Italy, she was a 1980 graduate of Franklin County High School and a member of the Ephesus Church of Christ.

She is survived by a son, Seth Thomas Elliott of Culleoka; her parents, Bobby L. and Marie Medley Winton of Manchester; two sisters, Sue (Noel “Pete”) Adams of Sebastian, Florida and Judith (Joe) Farnsworth of Alliance, Ohio; two brothers, Timothy L. Winton of Manchester and Clint (Debbie) Winton of Palm Bay, Florida; and her maternal grandmother, Winnie Winton of Manchester.

Freda and her 18 year old daughter were both shot by their husband in their Culleoka, Tennessee home. Rachel died at the home and Freda later at the hospital. Also shot was their 15 year old son, Seth. He survived. Freda was a wonderful lady and should long be remembered for her strength and her courage.
