Mrs. Musette Mayo Drummond, 67, a resident of Shapiro Trail in Columbia, Tennessee for the past five years, was born 2 Sep 1936 in Thomason, Georgia and died Thursday, May 27, 2004 at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia. She had under gone treatment for Burkitts Lymphoma for the past six weeks. She will be remembered most for her loving generosity and always willing to help others.Funeral services for Mrs. Drummond will be conducted Saturday, May 29, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Williams Columbia Funeral Home with Dr. Clarence Drummond officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.The Barnesville, GA native was the daughter of the late Clyde and Claudia Woodall Mayo and wife of M. Thomas Drummond of Columbia. She was a retired quality control inspector for the William Carter Company in Barnesville, GA and a member of the Valley Grove Baptist Church in Thomaston, GA. In addition to her husband, Musette is survived by two sons, Steven Keith (Charlotte) Drummond of Summerville, GA and Jeffery Brian (Denise) Drummond of Birmingham, AL; seven grandchildren; a brother, Clarence Mayo of Griffin, GA; several nieces and nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Reeves and a brother, Charles Mayo.The family request that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or other medical charity in honor of Mrs. Drummond.
