Mrs. John See, nee Anna Popp, 85, died at the Calumet Memorial Hospital Tuesday morning after an illness of several weeks. She entered the hospital Aug. 26.
She was born in the Town of Brothertown, Aug. 30, 1872, the daughter of the late Ferdinand Popp and Anna Kiesner Popp.
She was a member of the Christian Mothers of St. Elizabeth congregation at Kloten. She was married to John See on May 3, 1892, at the Holy Trinity Church at Jericho. Mr. and Mrs. See operated tavern and dance hall at Kloten for many years which for the past several years has been operated by a son, Andrew.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Henry (Mary) Portmann of Kloten; Mrs. John (Rose) Thuecks, of New Holstein; three sons, Frank of Sheboygan Falls, and Andrew and Victor of Kloten; a sister, Mrs. Rose Wichmann, Stockbridge; 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren
