On February the 27th, 1918 he was united in wedlock to Lucy Humphrey and to this union was born one daughter. He established his home on a farm in Carroll Twp and was considered a successful farmer. He was strong and robust and enjoyed fine health all his life with the exception of the last several weeks. On March the 12th he became seriously ill and entered Magruder Hopsital, there he reponded to medical treatment and soon was on the road to recovery when he unexpectedly suffered a relapse last Sunday and passed to his reward on Sunday April 6th, at 1:15pm.
He leaves to mourn his departure his deeply bereaved widow, 1 daughter Mrs Robert Chevalier, 1 grandson Robert Dye, 3 brothers Edward Schultz, Sinnia Schultz and Paul Schultz of Oak Harbor; 6 sisters Mrs Gertrude Eppling of Woodward, IA, Mrs Elsie Wolf and Mrs Ethel Hemminger of Oak Harbor, OH and Mrs Cora Witt of Graytown, OH, Mrs Laura Long of Michigan and Mrs Myrtle Lilje of Sandusky OH. Other relatives and many friends.
His pilgrimage on earth was 48 years and 24 days. Funeral service was conducted in St Paul's Evangelical and Reformed Church on Thursday April the 10th at 2pm. Interment was made in Union Cemetery at Oak Harbor OH. Rev O C Doenges officating
