"Harry", was a well known carpenter, and son of William Martin Smith and Mattie Lee Davis Smith. His siblings were Gurthie Melissa Smith Baker; Luddie Mae Smith Harkness; Ally Vee Smith Walton; Ruby Lee Smith Patterson; Fred Martin Smith; Murlin Charles Smith. In his early years he played with "Arthur Smith" and was a talented musician. During WWII he worked at Barksdale AFB in civil service. He was a brick mason and also built oil rigs. He graduated from Ida High School in Ida, Louisiana in 1926. He was married to Ruth Ople Long on June 5, 1934. He is survived by their children Gloria (Tommy) Smith; Margarie Goad-Sumner; Billie Sue (Jimmy) Terry; Sarah Smith Lewis; Ellen A. Smith; Pastor William "Harry", Smith Jr. (Glenda); and Martha (Ted) Wing. He was grandfather of Thomas A. Smith, Jr.; Christopher Goad; Paula Goad Rolli; Jeanie Lynne Terry Rothenberger (Karl); Jeffrey Terry; Linda Lewis-Frisch (Robert); Glenda Michelle Lewis; Zealy M. Lewis Jr (Lisa).; Rebekah L. Smith Binkley (James); Charles David Smith; Stephanie Wing Sanders (Michael); and Alisha Wing. He was Great-Grandfather of Thomas A. Smith,III; Davison Floyd Smith; Lauren Denyse Lafon-Lonergan (Joe); Robert Z. Frisch (Hannah); Nathan W. Frisch; Jacob Rothenberger (Rachel); Zealy M. Lewis,III; Peyton Michelle Lewis; Dione, Kristen, Jamey and Randall Binkley and 2 additional. And great-great grandfather to Noah R. Cox, Avery C. Lonergan and Joseph "Tanner" Lonergan. He was proceeded in death by his oldest grandson, Tommy Smith, Jr. Harry passed away from complications of a heart attack.

Harry is deeply missed by his family and friends.
