Mrs. D.F. Blacksher, 50, native of New Orleans and Biloxi resident 21 years, died at her home at 1047 West Howard Avenue at 8:30 a.m. yesterday following an illness of about five months. Death was from an infection caused from scratching a pimple on her finger. She had been in the Biloxi Hospital for treatment.
Her husband; six daughters, Mrs. J.L. Dickerson, Biloxi; Mrs. A. A. Jordan, New Orleans; Mrs. F.W. Haise, Biloxi; Mrs. C.H. McArthur, Natalie and Thelma, Biloxi, and a son Fred: four sisters, Alice Marguerite, and Frances, Miami and Bessey, Belmont, Me., three brothers, Phillip, John and Roger, Miami and other relative survive. The funeral will be at 3 p.m. today from the home with services at the Church of the Nativity.
