Cecelia A. Fabrizi, age 87, most recently of Chenango Bridge and formerly of Johnson City for 68 years, went to be with our Lord on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Wilson Memorial Hospital. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Helen Zielewicz; three brothers, Frank, John and Walter Zielewicz; and three sisters, Ida Hrnciar, Amelia "Emmy" Trecoske and Mary Ketzak. She is survived by her husband of nearly 52 years, Frank Fabrizi of Chenango Bridge; her son and daughter-in-law, James and Cheryl Fabrizi; son and daughter-in-law and two grandchildren, Daniel and Renee Fabrizi, and Lauren and Corey Fabrizi, all of Binghamton. Her family also includes a sister, Anna Ziemba of Johnson City; sister-in-law Mary Zielewicz of Johnson City; three brothers-in-law, Anthony Trecoske, Jr. of Montrose, PA, Enrico Lupo of Sterling Heights, MI, and John Hayes of Endwell; special nephew, Steve and Francie Zielewicz of Endwell; special niece, Roseanne and Tom Sullivan of Johnson City; additional nieces and nephews, Mark and Michelle Zielewicz of Endicott, Tom and Karen Zielewicz of Endicott, Barb and Andy Mihalko of E. Maine, Ron and Aileen Zielewicz of Newark Valley, Richard and Karen Zielewicz of Brackney, PA, Bob and Karen Zielewicz of Johnson City, Ed and Deb Zielewicz of E. Maine, Malaine and Tom Jarvie of Branford, CT, Paul and Holly Trecoske of Montrose, PA, Richard and Linda Ketzak of Greene, Lisa and John DeLeo of New Jersey, Linda and Earl Drake of Johnson City, Kathy and Mark Deyo of Florida, Joann and Del Belardinelli of Florida, and Bernadette and Phillip Romita, Anita and Dan Ewart, Rick Lupo, Denise Lupo and Anthony Lupo, all of the Detroit, MI area; several grandnieces and nephews, several great grandnieces and nephews, and cousins in Central PA. Cecelia was a longtime member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, now the Church of The Holy Trinity. Prior to arriving in the Triple Cities for employment, she was born and raised in Morris Run, PA, where her father worked as a coal miner. In her early days, while working for Endicott-Johnson Corp., she was a member of their softball and bowling teams. Once meeting her husband, Frank, also an Endicott-Johnson employee, marrying and having two sons, she worked and volunteered in a variety of positions in the community. Over the years, she was a waitress at the American Legion Post #758, Johnson City and ran local election polls for the Broome County Board of Elections. She was also a lifetime member of the American Legion Post #1254 Ladies Auxiliary, Binghamton. Special thanks for the comfort offered by Rev. Matthew Wieczorek of St. Casimir's Catholic Church, Endicott, Sister Ferdinand OSF (Jane Hudak), and the Wilson Hospital and Lourdes Hospice staff and volunteers. She loved gardening and tending her flower beds. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery, Inc., PO Box 735, Johnson City, NY 13790. A Funeral Service will be held 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at the Laskowski Funeral Home, and at 9:30 a.m. at The Church of the Holy Trinity, 346 Prospect St., Binghamton where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends at the Funeral Home on Monday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Arrangements and supervision by: Laskowski Funeral Home of Binghamton, NY.
