Wife of Brigadier General Ralph Hospital∼Daughter of an Ithaca lawyer, Louise met Ralph Hospital shortly after he returned from Hawaii and took back in his previous roll of ROTC instruction at Cornell University. They married in the summer of 1929 and Ralph started a whole new family with Louise, his second wife.
Louise remained in Ithaca most of her life with the exception of joining Ralph during his assignments in Oregon and overseas. She is the maternal Grandmother of They Might Be Giants band member, John Flansburgh, and his brother, anti-nuclear activist, Pax Culta (Sky Flansburgh). Louise is buried at Arlington National Cemetery with Ralph near the JFK Grove.
