The cenotaph shown was placed by descendants in Padgett's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Sedalia, SC; however, the actual location of Solomon's burial site is not known. Union County Heritage, p.34 says he is buried at Prospect Church, Union, SC. Actually, the church meant is New Prospect Baptist Church, Sedalia, SC, which splintered off from Padgett's Creek because of baptism theology. New Prospect eventually disbanded and members went back to Padgett's Creek. The New Prospect cemetery still exists and has a sign on Prospect Corners Road (SR 44-196) off Old Buncombe Road three miles from Padgett's Creek Church. A field stone marker there reads M. Bobo, with no dates. One FAG contributor has suggested this might be Mary Potts Bobo's grave, but this has not been documented.
