Robert G. Monson, 85, of 56 North St. died Monday at Oswego Hospital after a long illness. Mr. Monson was born in Berlin, N.D., and moved to Boylston at the age of 5. He graduated from Sandy Creek High School and later took a General Electric business course in Schenectady. Mr. Monson retired as a dairy farmer in 1987. He was a member of the auditing committee of the Ontario Milk Producers Co-op from 1945 to 1958 and secretary of the Ontario Feed & Grain Co-op. He was a member of the Pulaski and Mexico local historical societies. Surviving are his wife, the former Georgianna Lattimer; a son, George R. of Mexico; and two brothers, Mervin of Homer and Clare. Services are 10 a.m. Friday at Harter Funeral Home. Burial is in Mexico Village Cemetery. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, 9 Washington Ave. Contributions may be made to the McFee Ambulance Corps or the Mexico Fire Department.
