Services for former Pulaski resident Melzar Monson, 69, who died Sunday in Crossville, Tenn., will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Pulaski Wesleyan Church. Burial will be in Pleasant Lawn Cemetery, Parish.
Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. today at Harter-Olmstead Funeral Home, 7430 Main St., Parish.
A native of Boylston, Mr. Monson lived several years in Pulaski before moving to Fairfield Glade, Tenn. He retired six years ago as the owner and operator of Monson Industrial Sales and Auto Parts.
Mr. Monson was a former president of the Pulaski school board and a member of the Pulaski Zoning Board.
He was a graduate of Mexico Academy.
Mr. Monson was a member of Pulaski Lodge 415, F&AM, the Consistory and Media Shrine Temple, Watertown. He also was a member of the Pulaski Lions Club and Massena Lodge 1702, BPOE.
Surviving are his wife, the former Mary Turner; three daughters, Linda Knutson and Karen Schell, both of St. Paul, Minn., and Susan Monson of Pulaski; three brothers, Robert of Mexico, Mervin of Ithaca and Claire of South Carolina; and six grandchildren.
