He was granted a pension in May 1818 and after his death his wife Anna Walters Adams was granted a pension in 1845.
He had nine children. Two of his sons were killed in the War of 1812.∼ADAMS, WILLIAM--Born October 19, 1754. Died April 1, 1841. Grave in cemetery in French Creek, Chautauqua County, N. Y. The family became residents of French Creek at an early part of the nineteenth century. After his death in 1841, his wife applied for pension which was granted in 1845. At that time she was 79 years of age.
