Ola Ann Actkinson Neely, 74, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 24, 2012, with family and friends gathered around her bedside. Graveside service: 10 a.m. Wednesday in Greenwood Memorial Park. Memorial service: 7 p.m. Wednesday at Jeff Grove Ministry Church, 9001 County Road 1019, Burleson.
Ola was born Jan. 6, 1938, in Vera. She graduated from Arlington High School in 1956. She married Jim Neely July 25, 1969. Ola retired from Southwestern Bell in 1989 after 33 years of service. She was very active at Jeff Grove Ministry Church, where she loved to volunteer and help children. Ola was preceded in death by her husband, Jim, and her parents, Oliver and Tessie Actkinson.
Survivors: Sisters, Mary Ruth Havins and husband, Ray, of Bonham and Nancy Kirk and husband, Don, of Shreveport, La.; and dearly loved nieces, nephews and friends.
