MRS. GEORGE WILLIAMS WILL BE BURIED IN GLEN CARBON CEMETERY TOMORROW
Mrs. Bettie Williams, wife of George Williams, a coal miner of Glen Carbon, died at the family residence there Saturday at 5 p.m., after a lingering illness of 14 months attributed to a malignant growth.
Funeral services....., then to the Glen Carbon Cemetery. ....
Mrs. Williams was born in Glen Carbon on February 25, 1894, a daughter of Newman and Mrs. Sarah Meddows and had attained an age of 34 years, 6 months and 20 days.
There she spent practically her entire life. She was united to marriage on February 26, 1910. Since that date she had continued to reside in Glen Carbon with exceptions of a short period during which the family resided in O'Fallon.
The union was blessed with four children, all of whom remain at home. They are: Misses Sarah, Bernice, Georgeina and Sylvia Williams. Others of the near relationship surviving are: her father and brother, and nine brothers and sisters, namely Mary Conklin, of O'Fallon, George Meddows, of Glen Carbon, Newman Meddows; Otto Meddows and Joseph Meddows, all of Glen Carbon, Florence Devlin, of Shamokin, Penn., and James Meddows of O'Fallon.
