Funeral services for Jose Nanez, 84, will be Thursday at 9:15 a.m. at Hernandez Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will follow at Holy Family Catholic Church, with Father Robert Hall, CSB, officiating. Burial for Nanez, a resident of Stafford for 33 years, will be in San Gabriel Cemetery in Richmond. He died at Laura Eldridge Memorial Hospital in Sugar Land Monday night. Rosary will be said tonight at 8:15 at Hernandez Chapel, with Father Hall officiating.
Survivors include four sons, Juan Nanez, Miguel Nanez, Jesus Nanez, all of Stafford, and Francisco Nanez of Arcola; three daughters, Mrs. Timoteo Casarez, Mrs. Juan Medina, both of Sugar Land, and Mrs. Rogelio Medrano of Stafford; 40 grandchildren; and 77 great-grandchildren.
Nanez was preceded in death by his wife, Andrea, in 1952.
