Allen Services Set

Funeral services for Mrs. Eugene J. Allen, who died Friday at The Meadows Nursing Home will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Chapel. The Rev. W.A. Chambers, pastor of the St. James Baptist Church, will officiate and burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery.

Pearl Harrison, the daughter of Leslie and Ella Clay Harrison, was born May 11, 1900, in Emporia, and she married Eugene J. Allen in Emporia, May 14, 1918. She was a member of the Second Christian Church.

Survivors include her husband, a resident of The Meadows; one son, Vernon Allen, Kansas City, Mo.; one daughter, Mrs. William Holmes, San Francisco, Calif.; two brothers, Otis B. Harrison, 309 South Pine St., and LeRoy Harrison, 1021 Sylvan St.one sister, Maude Mitchell, 401 Carter St.; three grandchildren, Charles and Larry McDaniel, and [blurred] Santos, all in California; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Margaret Jane Allen, one sister and five brothers.
