He was the husband of Mildred Lee Hester Archer (1907-1990), with whom he shares a grave marker.
He was the father of June Mildred Archer Miller.
Joe resided in Dayton, Ohio throughout many of his adult years, but in California during his latter years.

JOSEPH ARCHER
Joseph Archer, 71, 1999 Beach Park Blvd., Foster City, died June 26 at Peninsula Hospital after a long illness. He was a native of Baltimore, Md., and had lived in this area for the past two years. He was a retired sheet metal worker for the Frigidaire division of General Motors.
Archer is survived by his wife, Mildred, of Foster City, a daughter, Mrs. June Miller, of San Mateo, and a sister, Mrs. Margaret Coleman of Baltimore.
A private graveside service was held today at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Cupertino, under the direction of Crosby N. Gray and Co.
