Abby Hall Carter, 62, of Ponchatoula, La., formerly of Campbellsville, died at 3:35 a.m., Monday, Dec. 15, 1997 at her home due to an illness. Daughter of the late Dr. Michael M. Hall and Elizabeth Shively Hall, she was born on Oct. 16, 1935 and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Ponchatoula. She was district director of the Louisiana Small Business Administration for nine years. Carter is survived by her husband, Dennis Carter of Ponchatoula, La.; one daughter and two sons, Myra Abigail Carter of Ponchatoula, La., Donald G. Henderson of Leesville, La., and Lee H. Henderson of Woodbridge, Va.; six grandchildren; one sister and one brother, Anne H. Burress and the honorable Judge Mike Hall of Campbellsville. Funeral was at 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 16 at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula, La. by the Rev. Matt Taylor. Graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, Dec. 19 at Brookside Cemetery in Campbellsville by the Rev. Charlie Taylor.
