GRACE C. (Sandburg) SWANSON - 79, of Sterling Colonial Acres Rest Home, died Monday after an extended illness.
Funeral services were held today in the Peterson-Wallin-Knox Funeral Home, Woodhull. Burial was in Woodhull Cemetery.
Mrs. Swanson was born in Galesburg, the daughter of John and Anna Sandburg. She married Howard G. Swanson in 1922 and he preceded her in death in 1969.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Susan Strasburg of Portage, Mich.; three sons, George of Dixon, and Thomas and James of Sterling; 14 grandchildren; one great-grandson; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Lyons of Rock Island and Mrs. Florence Peterson of Glen Ellyn; two brothers, Oscar Sandburg of Rock Island and Ernest Sandburg
