"Erastus Smith, a former resident of Cooperstown, died at the Soldiers' Home in Bath, April 14, 1908. The decesased, who was born in Middlefield, was sixty-six years of age. He was a member of Company A, 3 N. Y., Light Artillary, and was admitted to the Home, May 10, 1901. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Janette Thompson and Mrs. Mary Wood, both of Cooperstown.
