Dora (Thompson) Hanson, 81, died Jan. 27, 2001, at Brigham Manor Nursing Home in Newburyport MA. She was born May 26, 1919, in Boston MA, the daughter of the late Leslie P. and Margaret V. (Hathaway) Thompson. She was a 1937 graduate of Winsor High School in Boston and a 1941 graduate of Bryn Mawr College in Philadelphia PA. Mrs. Hanson worked in the medical records department at Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport for 24 years. She was a member of the Board of Directors of the Wheelwright House
in Newburyport.
She is survived by her husband George William "Bill" Hanson; son William G. Hanson of Philadelphia; daughters Carol Draper of Framingham MA and Polly Hanson of Newburyport; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother Dr. William F. Thompson of Westford MA; and several nieces and nephews.
