Mrs. Jennie Dreier, 83, of Howards Grove, died at 3:30 Thursday afternoon at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital after a lingering illness.
She was born in the Town of Centerville on Oct. 27, 1875, the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Wahrufest Quehl. She was baptized by the Rev. H. Pieper and confirmed in 1891 by the Rev. Henry Hilleman, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in the Town of Herman.
She was married to Louis Dreier on March 22, 1899, by the Rev. Fred Ave-Lallamont. After their marriage the couple operated a farm near Howards Grove until 1943, when they retired and moved to the village of Howards Grove. She was a lifetime member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and was a member of that congregation's Ladies Aid Society.
She is survived by two sons, George and Walter Dreier, both of Howards Grove; two daughters, Mrs. Henry (Esther) Berth of Howards Grove, and Mrs. Elmer (Mildred) Reichert of Johnsonville; one sister, Mrs. Carrie Eisner of Sheboygan, and one brother, George Quehl of Milwaukee. She was preceded in death by her husband (1949), a son who died in infancy, her parents, one brother and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in the Town of Herman. The Rev. Henry Meyer will be in charge of services and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the Walter H. Ahrens Funeral Home in Howards Grove from 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon until the time of services. A memorial fund has been established in the name of the deceased.
