Herman Berth, 67, of R. 1, Sheboygan, died Sunday afternoon at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital after a short illness.
Born Dec. 14, 1900, in Town Meeme he was the son of the late Frank and Wilhelmina Wilke Berth. He attended rural schools and was confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Howards Grove-Millersville.
In 1935 he married Miss Hilda Grohskopf of R. 1, Elkhart Lake. The couple farmed until 1946 when they moved to Howards Grove-Millersville.
Mr. Berth was employed by the Millersville Box Co. He was a lifetime member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
Surviving are his wife: one daughter, Mrs. Wayne (Erna) Wichman, Howards Grove-Millersville, four grandchildren; two brothers, Herny of Howards Grove-Millersville and Edgar of Newton; three sisters, Mrs. Richard Sommer and Mrs. John Ney, both of Sheboygan, and Mrs. August Illig, Lewis Corners, and one foster brother, Herbert Sohn, Idaho Falls, Idaho.
He was preceded in death by one brother.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Howards Grove-Millersville, with the Rev. Henry Juroff, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the Walter H. Ahrens Funeral Home from 4 p.m. Tuesday until the time of services on Wednesday.
A memorial fund has been established in Mr. Berth's name.
