Actor. He was best known for playing the character roles of waiters, inspectors, and convicts, usually in comedy films, horror films, and crime films, but some were uncredited. He will be best remembered for playing the role of 'Mike Relia' in the classic horror comedy film, "Bud Abbott Lou Costello Meet The Killer Boris Karloff" (1949). The film which was directed by Charles Barton, which was written for the screen by Hugh Wedlock Jr., Howard Snyder, Oscar Brodney, and John Grant, and which also starred Bud Abbott, Lou Costello, Boris Karloff, Roland Winters, Alan Mowbray, Donna Martell, Gar Moore, Lenore Aubert, and James Flavin, tells the story of two employees of a secluded hotel who investigate a murder on the premises in which the goofy bellboy is the prime suspect. He was born one of four children as Dominic Negrelli in Lawrence, Massachusetts, to Italian immigrants Joseph Negrelli and Constance Patti Negrelli on October 4, 1914. He was educated locally and later served his country for four years with the United States Army Medical Corps of the United States Forces during World War II. He then moved to Los Angeles, California, to pursue an acting career using the stage name of Vincent Renno. He made his actual film debut playing the role of the 'Roundup Waiter' in the Film-Noir crime film drama, "Criss Cross" (1949). The film which was directed by Robert Siodmak, which was written for the screen by Daniel Fuchs and William Bowers, which was based on the novel by Don Tracy, and which also starred Burt Lancaster, Yvonne De Carlo, Percy Helton, Tom Pedi, Stephen McNally, Esy Morales, and Dan Duryea, tells the story of an armored truck driver and his ex-wife who conspire with a gang to have his own truck robbed on the route. Besides, playing the role of the 'Roundup Waiter' in the Film-Noir crime film drama, "Criss Cross" (1949), and playing the role of 'Mike Relia' in the classic horror comedy film, "Bud Abbott Lou Costello Meet The Killer Boris Karloff" (1949), his many other film credits include, "The Great Sinner" (1949), "Black Hand" (1950), "Convicted" (1950), "I'll Get By" (1950), "Frenchie" (1950), "The Great Caruso" (1951), and "Sirocco" (1951). His last film role was playing 'Convict 9919' in the comedy film, "My Six Convicts" (1952). The film which was directed by Hugo Fregonese, which was written for the screen by Michael Blankfort, which was based on the book by Donald Powell, and which also starred Millard Mitchell, Gilbert Roland, and John Beal, tells the story of psychologist pioneers who do a research study at a prison. He seeks the help of six savvy inmates including a safe-cracker, a mobster, a pair of armed robbers and a psychopath. Could he trust them? What's in it for them? He retired from acting shortly thereafter. He was a longtime member of the Screen Actors Guild. His funeral service was held through the Westwood Village Mortuary in Westwood, California, and he was buried in Bellevue Cemetery in his native Lawrence, Massachusetts. He was married to Phyllis Champion Renno and he had a step-daughter named Dorothy Renno who survived him.
