FUNERAL SERVICES FOR LUTHER JONES WEDNESDAY
Funeral services were held at the Reck Funeral Parlors in Miller and at the Morningside cemetery here Wednesday afternoon for Luther Jones who passed away suddenly Monday morning. The Rev. J.A. Northrop of the local Congregational church was in charge of the services.
Pall bearers were Lloyd and Fred Phinney, Hugh McKelvey, A.I. Nicholas, Douglas Scott and Ralph Leach.
Luther Jones, son of W.H. and Mary C. Jones, was born at Blandisville, Ill., on December 1, 1880.
In 1917 he came to Hand County and has since made his home in Miller and Ree Heights. He passed away suddenly at his home here on Monday, September 14, at the age of 61 years, 9 months and 14 days.
He leaves two brothers, Bert of Ree Heights and Blake of Blandisville, Ill. A niece and nephew also survive him.
