Richard Ainsworth married Elizabeth "Betsey" Crocker in 1802 in Barnstable, MA.

Died 20 Jul 1858 at age 74 according to headstone inscription.

"Death of Richard Ainsworth, Esq. The decease of this aged and well known citizen, which occurred on Wednesday last (i.e. 28 Jul), in this village...His death was sincerely deplored by a large list of acquaintances, and all will remember him with respect." on page 2 of the 3 Aug 1858 Barnstable Patriot.

Also father of Sally Whitman (Ainsworth) Hinckley (Mar 1816 - May 1849).
