Saline Fraser
Saline Elizabeth Hardee Fraser, age 81, formerly of Helper, our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and mother-in-law, died peacefully April 25, 1992 in Salt Lake City.
Born Aug. 22, 1910 in Castle Gate, daughter of Alma Hardee and Elizabeth Jones Hardee. Married William F. Fraser Jan. 15, 1937 in Price; he died March 3, 1961.
Member of the Catholic Church. Longtime resident of Helper prior to moving to Salt Lake City. Grandma loved to read, study all types of history and tend to her flower garden, especially her roses. She was considered a local expert on the Castle Gate Mining History, and had appeared on TV and had articles published about the 1929 Castle Gate mine explosion. She successfully raised two children by herself after the death of her husband.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law; daughter and son-in-law, all of Salt Lake City;
four grandchildren; sister, Annie Colzani Graza, Price. Preceded in death by one sister, Mae Hilton; three brothers, Edward Clyde Hardee, Welber Hardee and Edwin Hardee.
Funeral Mass Wednesday, 10 a.m., St. Anthony Catholic Church, Helper. Vigil services Tuesday evening, 7 p.m. at Mitchell Chapel, where friends may call daily, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Committal services, Mountain View Cemetery, Helper.
