John S. Abbe, 75, of 408 Taylor Rd,an associate of the Merrill Barber Co. on Marion Ave., died at Mansfield General Hospital Tuesday evening following an extended illness.
Mr. Abbe was born in Newport, KY, Jan 20, 1897, and moved to Marion and then to Mansfield in 1924. He was a member of the Master's Barber Association and the First English Luthern Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ethel Hamaker Abbe; two sisters, Mrs. Nita Wise and Miss Ida Mae Abbe, both of Marion.
Services will be conducted in the J.H. Finefrock & Sons Friday at 1:30 p.m. by Rev. Jerry L. Schmalenberger, pastor of the First English Luthern Church. Burial will be in Mansfield Memorial Park.
