Juliane Schniebel was born In Baden Germany and married Hieronymus Tschan in Germany on April 16 1854. They immigrated to America around 1857. Hieronymus and Juliane lived in Philadelphia, where Hieronymus was a Coachman by occupation. The gave birth to four children, Three girls, which were born in Germany:(Amelia, Martha, & Teresia). John, the first son born to the couple in 1861, was born in Philadelphia after they immigrated.
Juliane's husband died 1882 and now a widow, Juliane relocated to Spring Mill, Whitemarsh, Pa. where she lived with her daughter Amelia who had married Anthony Scharff. Juliane was also know as "Julia". Services were held in St. Matthew Church and her interment was listed as being held at the "NEW" St. Matthew Cemetery on March 27 1901.
