Mr. Turner died Thursday at Parklawn Manor Nursing Home after an illness.
A native of Sumner County, Tenn., he was born Nov. 17, 1895, the son of John and Tona Yates Turner. He was a member of Moore's Baptist Church and a veteran of World War I. His wife, Bettie Blair Turner, preceded him in death.
Survivors include two foster sons, Walter Reese, Kalamazoo, Mich., and Reuben Kendrick, this city; one brother, John Turner, Louisville; four sisters, Louise Taylor and Paralee Utley, both of Nashville, Tenn., Lucy Vaughn Springfield, Tenn., and Bertha Bell Cross, Plains, Tenn.
