Dr. Robert C. Bibb, 84, of Huntsville died Monday at his home. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Church of the Nativity with Father Emile Joffrion, the Rev. Kerry Sibold and Michael Sepulveda officiating.

Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery with Laughlin Service Funeral Home in charge.

Dr. Bibb graduated from Huntsville High School in 1933 and from the University of Alabama in 1937. He received his doctorate from Tulane University was a resident at St. Vincent's Hospital in Birmingham. He was a World War II Army veteran having served in Europe and was honorably discharged as a major in 1946. Dr. Bibb practiced orthopedic medicine in Huntsville until his retirement in 1993. He was a member of the American Madison County and Alabama medical associations, the Optimist Club and Church of the Nativity.

Survivors include his wife, Patty Brand Bibb; one son, Bob Gord of Hoover; a granddaughter, Allison Sepulveda, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be today from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

The body will be at the church for one hour before the funeral.

Memorial donations may be made to Episcopal Church of the Nativity or Hospice Family Care.
