Born in Ionia, Kan. and moved to the Giltner area with her family as a young girl. graduating from Giltner High School in 1929. Taught school for three years before marrying Ben Obermeier on Aug. 25, 1932, in Grand Island. In 1960, she taught school and Dist. 32 near Giltner and later in the Giltner Elementary School, retiring in 1974.
Survivors were her husband, Ben; one son, Ron, of Cairo; four sisters, Mrs. Lessie Gilmore and Mrs. Lena Williams, both of Lincoln; Mrs. Mildred Holland of Ashland and Mrs. Marie Swedburg of Craig. She was preceded in death by one brother, Estel, an infant sister and a sister, Elsie.
