Mrs. Nels Nelson died at the home of a son at Rosendale, Cal., on Friday, Oct. 1. Mrs. Nelson's maiden name was Rebecca Walthen and she was born in Tolulu, Ills., May 6, 1847. She was married to George Forlow in 1869 and came to Nebraska at that time. The family lived here for some time. Her second marriage was with Mr. Nelson of this place. Mrs. Nelson is survived by six children who are Mrs. Rovia C. Cleveland and Fred L. Forlow of Rosedale, Cal., G. W. Forlow of Norcatur, Kan., Ole Nelson of Everett, Ida., Mrs. Elsie Ervin of Nehallim, Ore., and Mrs. Maude Beaver of Los Angeles, Cal. She was long a member of the Presbyterian church. The remains, accompanied by some of the children, reached Sterling, Wednesday afternoon, and services were held at the grave, the interment being in the Sterling cemetery.
