Mrs S A Bennett
The remains of Mrs. Bennett were interred in Unity Cemetery last Sunday after being brought here from Corpus Christi, Texas, where Mrs. Bennett died on Friday morning. The funeral was preached by Dr NR Townsend and was attended by many of her old friends and relatives here. The deceased was past 81 years old and her death was probably on account of her age. She lived in our county for 29 years and up to 3 years ago when she went to Corpus Cristi for a visit with her children IM and GA Bennett and Mrs. L. E. L. Bozeman. She was born in SC, but moved here from AL. She leaves 7 living children, the oldest and youngest of whom, GJ Bennett and EG Bennett are residents of our city and besides the 3 children at Corpus Christi, there are WA Bennett of NM and HR Bennett of Port Arthur, TX, all of whom we express our sincere sympathy in the loss of their mother.(7-15-1915)
