following info by dallastxgrammy) The person in this memorial was known as "Major Bill", but I can't find that he served in the Civil War. His son, Pvt. Willis Walden "William" Sibley (b.1845), did. The war records indicate only the son served and he has a pension application. This person's name is William Wallis Sibley. His wife and parents listed in the memorial are correct. I am a Sibley descendant.
