Alberta L. Fisher, age 83, passed away peacefully Friday, December 30, 2011 at her home.

Alberta was born August 9, 1928 in Naples, a daughter of Albert & Clara (Johnson) Hanggi. Alberta was a graduate of Naples High School and Geneseo Teacher College. She was a retired teacher from the Emanuel Baptist School in Penn Yan; she also had taught in the Honeoye & Naples school districts. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by 4 brothers, Herbert, Robert, Donald & Albert Hanggi Jr.; 1 sister, Rita Riesenberger; and 1 great-grandson, Grant Hudson Pearce.

Alberta was a member of the Naples Bible Church, the Delta Kappa Teachers Assoc. and the NYS Retired Teachers Assoc. She enjoyed gradening, flowers, her church, cooking, reading, volunteering at the Hospeace House and was a former Home Health Aide in Penn Yan.

She is survived by her children, Annette (Philip) Dinzler and Neil Fisher; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sisters & brother, Clara Grove, Louise (Roger) Potter and Sam Hanggi; sister-in-law, Charlotte Hanggi; brother-in-law, Richard Riesenberger; several nieces, nephews, cousins and close neighbors, Al & Elaine Woodhead..

Friends may call 1-2 pm, Monday at the Naples Bible Church, 8833 Rte. 53, Naples, where a memorial service will be held at the conclusion of calling. Contributions may be made to the Hospeace House, Naples Bible Church or the Naples Ambulance. www.bairdfuneralhomes.com
