Abbie M. Armes died at the age of 92 at Batesville Manor. She was a member of Peach Creek Baptist Church, and the widow of Roger Armes. Surviving included daughters, Dixie Abbey of El Paso, TX and Barbara Peel of Memphis; two sons, Roger Armes of Batesville and Donald Armes of Pleasant Grove; and a sister, Bertha Goodnight of Sardis; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Armes were held at Peach Creek Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.
