Killed when American Flyers chartered plane crashed near Ardmore, OK. 92 GI's and 6 crew members were on board when the plane crashed into a rocky hillside during a thunderstorm. Most of the passengers were bound from Ft. Ord, CA to Ft. Benning's Airborne Training School in GA, some possibly for Vietnam. 81 of the 98 on board were killed.
