Zeda Mae Fellure Ferguson
Zeda Mae Ferguson, 87, of Pliny, passed away on Sunday, March 14, at home surrounded by her loving family.
Zeda Mae was born on September 15, 1922 to the late Ercel and Edith Whitt Fellure. She was also preceded in death by her husband: Russell R.; her son: Larry; and brother: Hoy Fellure.
She worked early in her life as a delivery woman for Hodges Lumber Co. and a home painter. She retired from the Putnam County Board of Education and was a great gardner, canner, and an amazing mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great- great-grandmother.
Surviving are her sons, Johnny, Pete, Dick, Bob, Ray, Terry, and Jimmy Ferguson; and her daughter, Kay Ferguson Stewart, all of Pliny; 32 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be 2:00pm Wednesday, March 17, at Mt. Union United Methodist Church, with Rev. Randy Scites and Rev. Bobby Woods officiating, with burial following in the Mt. Union United Methodist Church Cemetery, Pliny.
Friends may visit Tuesday, from 6:00 until 9:00pm at Chapman Funeral Home, Hurricane.
