Jim and I always had nice talks when I would stop by with my mom. He had diabetes which he did not realize until he would be too exhausted to function. Once he was diagnosed he never let the disease get him down. He would share with me what sweets were available that were for diabetics. Jim had a very interesting pet. It was a beautiful cockatoo named Louie. He was very fond of that bird, who is still alive today.
