He was born to Wilmer Preston and Georgia Cleo Cates Little.
Sherrill was a member of University Church of Christ and Master Mason Lodge 1233. Sherrill, better known as "Cornbread Johnson" was a faithful Christian, raising his three children to be faithful Christians, passing on a heritage of a Christian family. He enjoyed spending time roaming his ranch, "The Silver Ponderosa" on his Tennessee Walker, Champagne. He always enjoyed having his grandchildren and great-grandchildren around. Sherrill worked in the insurance industry for many years.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Little was preceded in death by his sister, Chesteen Harrison; brother, Walden P. "Red" Little; sons, Daniel Harrison Little and Lilburn Little and grandson, Trey Dobbs.

He is survived by his loving family including his wife of 65 years, Darleene Chandler Little; son, Wilmer Little, Jr. and wife Dianne; daughters, Pam Reid and husband Charles and Debbie Johnson and husband Jim; sister-in-law, Kim Little; grandchildren, Shanna Little Chaney and husband Boodie, Wil Little, Jessica Little Boullion and husband Jeremy, Gina Smith and husband Chad, Wes Dobbs and wife Angie, Blake Dailey, Mike Wells and wife Helen, Natalie Dubose and husband Shane, Smith Reid and his fiancé, Bridgett, Ross Reid and wife Lauren; great-grandchildren, Preston Chaney, Hunter Chaney, Hanson Chaney, Emily Chaney, Karissa Boullion, Demi Featherston, Darla Featherson, Evie Smith, Chandler Dobbs, Austin Dobbs, Nicole Dobbs, Colby Wells, Gage Wells, Skye Wells, Lily Reid, Taylor Reid, Kaitlyn Dubose, Korleigh Dubose, and soon to be 19th great-grandchild "Baby" Dubose.


Pallbearers are grandsons and great-grandsons, Wil Little, Wes Dobbs, Mike Wells, Smith Reid, Austin Dobbs, Colby Wells, and Gage Wells.


Honorary Pallbearers are great-grandsons, Hunter Chaney, Preston Chaney, Hanson Chaney and Chandler Dobbs.
