VIOLA LOUISE BROWN

Louise Brown(sic), age 85, died on May 2, 2003 at Hebron Oaks, Madison.
She was born on Nov. 10, 1917 in South Bend Ind., the daughter of Forrest and Madge Bovard. Forrest died when she was a baby and she was raised by her mother Madge and stepfather James Magill. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Manitowoc, and attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. On Aug. 25, 1937 she married Robert B. Brown in Manitowoc. Louise was a very active person helping out with the Girl Scouts, Junior League, First Presbyterian Church and various other group. She and Bob loved to go to sporting events together and never missed a Packer home game. They became “world travelers” after Bob’s retirement, attending several Olympic Games. After Bob’s death in 1979, she began a new life in Melbourne Beach, Fla. She loved the warm weather and got involved in many volunteer activities including Newbourne Beach.
Louise is survived by her daughter: Barbara Lindwall; her “favorite” son-in-law: Jon Lindwall; granddaughter: Lisa Lindwall grandson: Todd (Julie) Lindwall; great-grandchildren: Krista and Colin Lindwall; sister: Kathy Hesse; sister-in-law: Eileen Brown; foster daughter: Mary Jacobson; granddaughter Sara (John) Smeaton, and great-grandchildren: Morgan and Riley Smeaton.
She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by many.
A celebration of Louise’s life will be held at First Presbyterian Church, Manitowoc, at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 6, 2003.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Dane County, 517 Segoe Road, Madison, WI 53705.
