Born on April 25, 1956 in Savannah, GA, she was the daughter of Richard Millwood, Evelyn McDonald Banks and step-daughter of William Banks. Her early years included graduating from Fort Mill High School in 1974. Mrs. Raftary served her country in the U.S. Navy as an AT2 (aviation electronics technician, Petty Officer 2nd Class). She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her mother and step-father, . . . of Fort Mill, SC, a godchild, . . . of Lusby, MD, a brother, . . . of Fort Mill, SC and a cousin, . . . of Lusby, MD.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on December 7, 2005 in the Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A. in Leonardtown, MD. A Service of Remembrance will be conducted at 5:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. On Saturday, December 10, 2005 a Service of Remembrance will be conducted in the Glen Rock Baptist Church, Fort Mill, SC at 12 Noon.
Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
